Out of the wire bursts an organic wire blossom! Form the petal frame and weave the base. Add a copper lilypad. Vine up the stem and sprout leaves around the bloom. Watch each one unfurl as it takes on it’s own blossomy character!
Bloom can be scaled your preference, and made into a pendant, earrings, a pin or sculpture.

3 hr wire workshop one pendant.
6 hr wire workshop will cover a double layer bloom and embellishment opportunities.

In class we will texture and Dap the washers, fortify the center of the wheels and weave in pearls, gemstones, spacers and crystals to create this beautiful lining. We will close it up with the quintessential spiral, turning a terrifying experience into something beautiful.

The charms are not only beautiful themselves, but have great places to resin in tiny found objects.

This class is being offered only on my Beadventures tour to Italy. You will not want to miss this trip!

As part of our exploration of Italy, we will look for treasures and shards of pottery and broken glass. We will take these back to the workshop to create a great memory of our trip as we embellish them. First we will try our hand at an ancient technique of repousse. Using thin sheet metal we will draw on textures found in our surroundings to give the metal relief. Then the metal is formed to the backside of the pottery shard.

Next we will use Viking knit as a bezel to secure the repousse work to the shard. As an option you can embellish with tiny crystals around the inner edge for some sparkle and finally, add a cast bail to complete the pendant.

No previous experience is necessary with any of these techniques!

Texture, form and stamp your personal mantra into metal. Combine with other treasures such as pebbles, shells and rings. Add a bail and rivet for your own personalized amulet!

Explore Sheet metal and wire to make a variety of hand made riveted chains. Texture the metal with a patten mill. Stamp a story into the metal. Form links and secure with rivets. Chain the links together to make a fabulous one of a kind chain!

Learn to use a disc cutter to make small copper discs.
Texture the disc and use a dapping block to form domes from the discs.
Use screws to secure the domes to the leather base.
Add a button stud and you have a bracelet that is in the height of fashion!

Create a ring shank with spiral wires. Secure the spirals using basketweave, then
capture the focal bead using the decorative spirals.
